THE PSYCHOLOGICAL QUANTUM OF ARCHITECTURE

In their book contribution, the authors Gemma Koppen and Tanja C. Vollmer clearly show that architecture, as the designer of all our living spaces and individual development, cannot do without an intensive examination of the subject world and self-study. An advanced architecture curriculum should therefore promote architectural psychology. Founded in 1962 by Herman Hertzberger, the International Design Seminar at the Technical University of Delft, InDeSem, embodies a world-renowned tradition of Dutch design teaching: the creative examination of socially and culturally critical issues in close academic discourse with foreign disciplines and a fearless use of unusual methods. A Point of View is the book publication for InDeSem 2009.
