BERLIN BOOK FAIR. BRAIN & BOOKS

“Berlin is a publishing metropolis! This includes around fifty science and specialist publishers, which publish over 6,000 new publications every year. The publishers themselves are as diverse as the subject areas, which range from the humanities and law to the natural sciences and medicine: Internationally established publishing houses as well as small publishing houses promote discourse in science but also social dialogue with carefully edited publications. BRAIN & BOOKS gives these publishers and selected authors a platform. In 2021, scientific and specialist publishers will present themselves to the public in a book fair, which will be accompanied by expert lectures for students and a broad interested public.” (Brain & Books website).

Gemma Koppen and Tanja C. Vollmer will present their new book release, a design theory and design manual for evidence-based healthcare architecture and debate how psychology can be applied to the architecture of hospitals and healthcare buildings.

New release: Koppen, G. & Vollmer, T.C. (2022). Architektur als zweiter Körper. Eine Entwurfslehre für den evidenzbasierten Gesundheitsbau. Berlin: Gebr. Mann Verlag.
