‘Architectural perception and the experience of stress of the severely and chronically ill’ is the book contribution by Tanja C. Vollmer and Gemma Koppen, which combines the findings of empirical and phenomenological research. The authors conclude: “Illness is hard enough, let’s make the environment lighter.” Against the background of the corona pandemic, this insight seems more relevant than ever. The first color edition of the book by the Weimar editors of the Bauhaus University is out of print, the second one was published in b/w 2020.
