Creative approaches in psycho-oncology and architecture. Visiting professorship at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, DE 2006-2007

Based on the theory of space anthropodysmorphy (Raumanthropodysmorphie) the visiting professorship deals with the change of spatial perception in dependence of changes in body perception. The program is addressed to art therapy students who learn to use the principle as a diagnostic tool. In the theoretical part the students are taken on a journey through the body-space problem in art, architecture and psychology. The practical task confronts them with female cancer patients whom they interview about spatial and body perception changes.
The students – lead by artist Stefan Heide - have to translate the stories into a visual work. The work will be exposed to the cancer patients in the exhibition “In Coterie” (In Geschlossener Gesellschaft).
